Christchurch firing live streamed on Facebook by the attacker
Attacks on the mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand has left the whole world in shock as 49 were killed and many were injured. The suspect is believed to be an Australian citizen who live streamed the whole shooting through his Facebook page. The video that shows the gunman shooting at the random people in the mosque is going viral on social media.
As many questioned the authenticity of the video, eye witness agreed that the man is wearing a helmet which might have had the camera attached to it which recorded the whole episode. The shooter was seen wearing a military jacket who opened fire right from the main door itself. He started killing people ruthlessly with women and children believed to be among those killed. However, a man tried to stop him but was shot to death which was shown in the video.
Police have tightened security all across New Zealand. The Prime Minister of NZ claimed that it is one of the darkest days in the country. Christchurch, a relatively small city in the south of New Zealand, hit global headlines once again after 2011 when it was struck by a deadly earthquake.
