CM BS Yediyurappa asks Centre for immediate release of Rs 10,000 crore funds
Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa has urged the Centre to release funds immediately, for the state relief works under the floods caused by incessant rains.
In the areal survey at Shivamogga, CM said he going to debate with PM and Union Minister for funds release immediately.
BSY said “The situation is very bad. Home minister Amit Shah and finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman also conducted the inspection. There is a loss of over Rs 50,000 crore in the state. On August 16, I am going to Delhi to meet the Prime Minister regarding this.”
CM said “Today I will meet local MLAs in Shivamogga and discuss the situation. I requested the Government of India to release 10,000 crores immediately.”
While Meteorological Centre said, heavy rain occurs in all districts of Coastal Karnataka and in Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Kodagu and Shivamogga districts of South Interior Karnataka.
