CM BS Yediyurappa's short visit has left Mudigere locals angry
Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has visited the flood-affected areas in Mudigere taluk to check the relief works. While Malemane residents staying at Bidarahalli, expressed that CM did not spend enough time to understand the current situation.
CM and Minister C.T. Ravi, Lok Sabha member Shobha Karandlaje and MLA M.P. Kumaraswamy visited the flood-areas. They did not spend much time to understand the affected people, as CM had come visiting for the first time.
Veerappa of Alekhan Horatti said, “We are ready to give up our land in our village. Let the Forest Department take it while the government rehabilitates us to a better place. We wanted to place this demand before the Chief Minister.”
CM BSY said “I have asked the Deputy Commissioner to come to Bengaluru with a detailed report on rehabilitation. The government is considering rehabilitating the affected elsewhere,” he said.
