CM BSY announces farmers will soon get Rs 2000 under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana
In a big relief to the farmers, the government of Karnataka has announced that in short time they will deposit the first instalment of an additional sum of Rs 2,000 by the scheme of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in the farmers' bank accounts.
CM BS Yediyurappa said, “As many as 43.75 lakh declarations of farmers have been sent to Government of India under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Out of this, Rs 634.50 crore has been credited to 31.72 lakh eligible farmers’ accounts directly with soon release Rs 2,000 as the first instalment to the accounts of these beneficiaries,” he said.
He also said by the drought situation in the state, the issued officers to provide the driving water, fodder supply, employment guarantee schemes on a war footing. To the favour of fodder growing in farmers, the CM issues official to buy fodder grown with the cost of Rs 4000 per ton, at present that cost is Rs 3000 per ton.
The CM said to officials they visited the districts once in a month, and review and inspect works, he ordered.
