CM BSY says 17 MLAs to be assigned into Cabinet in the first phase
Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa announced that he will expand his cabinet today, while in the first phase of expansion 17 ministers will be inducted he said.
In the confidence motion, BSY will prove his government’s majority on July 29. Meanwhile, he runs the government with a “one-man cabinet” over 20 days, CM had visited New Delhi to get the permission of Cabinet expansion on August 20.
Among those administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Vajubhai Vala at Raj Bhavan are Govind Karajol, Ashwath Narayan CN, Laxman Savadi, KS Eshawarappa, R. Ashoka, Jagadish Shettar, B. Sreeramulu and S. Suresh Kumar, V.Somanna, C.T. Ravi, Basavaraj Bommai, Kota Shrinivas Poojari, J.C. Madhu Seamy, C.C. Patil, H. Nagesh, Prabhu Chauhan and Shashikala Jolle Annasaheb are other names on the list.
In the political pressure, and opposition Congress and JD(S) also had hit out the BJP over the delay of Cabinet Expansion and even raised the questions about the government “exercise.” Congress claimed Mr BSY’s administration “resembled the President’s rule.”
