CM HDK asks DCs, Senior officers to visit villages once in a week

CM H D Kumaraswamy directed the Deputy Commissioners of districts and State-level officers to visit the villages at least once in a week to the complaints from the people and review the process of the developmental works.
 
The CM passed the guidelines in the meeting of Deputy Commissioners of Districts and CEOs of Zilla Panchayats held in Bangalore to review the implementation development works and also drought-relief bedsides rainy preparedness.
 
Questioning the officers troubled to keep revenue and pension adalats at the Hobli level, he asked the Deputy Commissioners to work efficiently and also to do surprise checking at government-run hostels. He also informed them to prevent the farmer's problems in getting their work done.
 
He said that “If taluk offices work honestly, the problems of people will reduce and the government will earn a good name among people.”
 
The CM questioned the Deputy Commissioners to find the place required for the next 10 years for government schools, playgrounds, and burial grounds, amid others.
 
CM HDK clarifies that proposed grama vaastavya (village stay) program was not a publicity gimmick. “It is an effort to bridge the gap between the government and the people,” he stated.
