CM K Palaniswami says Tamil Nadu is firm about two-language policy
Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi K Palaniswami during the celebration of 73 Independence Day said Tamil Nadu government is firm on two language policy. It will not allow any projects that will affect the Tamil Nadu people.
After Flag hosting, CM said, CN Annadurai in 1968 has passed a resolution of two language policy in all schools, while former CM MG Ramachandran also passed the resolution in the Assembly in 1986 in support of the two-language policy.
“Amma (former CM Jayalalithaa) said we are firmly against imposing Hindi on non-Hindi speaking states and opposed and thwarted moves to impose Hindi,” he said. The government will oppose any project that will affect the people of the state and Tamil Nadu will be a model state in protecting the welfare of the people,” he said.
