Congress dismiss 14 Rebel MLAs in Karnataka
Former Speaker of the Karnataka Assembly Ramesh Kumar has disqualified the 14 legislative rebel MLAs by the anti-party activities. The party said AICC had proved the proposal form KPCC requesting the expulsion of these MLAs from the party.
The disqualification of MLAs is Pratap Gouda Patil, B.C. Patil, Shivaram Hebbar, S.T. Someshekar, Byrati Basavraj, Anand Singh, R. Roshan Baig, Muniratna, K. Sudhakar, MTB Nagaraj, Shirmant Patil, Ramesh Jarkiholi, Mahesh Kumatahalli, and R. Shankar.
Before the motion of the confidence, the Speaker had disqualified MLAs of the Congress and JD(S) for against party whips to attend the House on July 23. Three MALs are Karkiholi, Kumatahalli and R Shankar were expelled on July 25 for anti-party activities to attend the Assembly and vote in favour of the motion.
