Congress high command summons Revanth to contest from Malkajgiri
Revanth Reddy, Telangana Congress working president is apparently contesting from Malkajgiri Parliamentary constituency in the coming MP elections in Telangana. After tasting a shocking defeat in the Assembly elections, Congress high command had summoned Revanth to come to Delhi to talk about his seat. As Revanth immediately responded to the call and met the party main heads, it is almost confirmed that Revanth Reddy will be contesting from Malkajgiri.
Revanth has infused confidence within the party high command that it is his responsibility to contest as the party is passing through difficult times. “It is the time for senior leaders to infuse confidence among the cadre and I am ready for it,” he said.
Malkajgiri which has Kukatpally, Quthbullapur, Uppal, Medchal, LB Nagar, Secunderabad segments with which it has become the largest Parliament constituency in India. It is also said to have a high population of educated voters and natives of Andhra Pradesh, which is a fetching point for Revanth. However, it is not a cakewalk for him as TRS has swept most of the assembly segments.
