Congress LP and TRS clearing the paths for a merger?
It seems like the main mission of TRS’ ’Operation Akarsh’ has finally worked. Attracting all the leaders to their party and thereby wiping out the opposition from the assembly has been the main intention of the Pink Party. With all the prominent leaders flooding into TRS, Congress, the main opposition has now lost its sheen in Telangana. And finally the remaining 13 Congress MLAs reached the assembly on Monday morning and met at TRS Legislative Party (TRSLP) office and discussed about the possibilities of merging Congress Legislative Party (CLP) with TRSLP.
According to the media reports, the 13 Congress leaders are expected to meet the assembly secretary and submit a letter about merging. When asked about the same, Nakrekal MLA Chirumarthi Lingaiah hinted that it would happen in the near future as there are only tall leaders left in the party i.e, TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy, CLP chief Bhatti Vikramarka and Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy.
He also went all praise for KCR saying that his visionary leadership would take TRS to places and the party will become even stronger in the coming days. One of the 13 MLAs said they are seeking legal opinion on this and with appropriate suggestions, they would take the next steps.
