Congress party losing its sheen in Andhra Pradesh
With all the leaders leaving, Congress Party is losing its hold in Andhra Pradesh after the bifurcation. The party is almost empty now as the remaining leaders and officials are also on the verge to leave.
Seniors leaders like Daggubati Purandeshwari, Kavuri Sambasiva Rao and Kanna Lakshminaryana has already left the party to join BJP in the last five years and leaders like J C Diwakar Reddy, Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, Erasu Pratap Reddy, and others joined the TDP. YSRCP has also witnessed few hoppings from Congress with Botsa Satyanarayana, Dharmana Prasada Rao, K Parthasarathy. While former union minister Killi Kruparani has also joined YSRCP. Seniors like Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy joined TDP along with his family.
If the media reports are to be believed, former Union minister Panabaka Lakshmi is also quitting Congress along with her husband Panabaka Krishnaiah. Seems like TDP has promised her the party ticket from Tirupati Lok Sabha constituency. On the other hand, senior Congress leader and former MP from G V Harsh Kumar, and Sake Sailajanath are also expected to join the TDP any time from now.
Amidst these scenarios, fans and followers of Congress in the state are worried if the party would be completely empty in the coming days.
