Crazy Mohan, the famous Tamil actor and ace scriptwriter of Tamil films, agonized a severe heart attack in Chennai and was declared dead at 2 p.m. He was rushed to Kauvery Hospital, but efforts to save him are failed. He was 67 and he has a wife and two sons.
Mohan Rangachari was born in 1952, 'Crazy' was an alias he got after the famous play “Crazy Thieves in Palavakkam” for which he wrote the script. The play performed by another famous actor, S.Ve. Shekher was also a runaway hit as a TV series.
In his condolence message, CM Edappadi K. Palaniswami stated, “His demise is a loss to Tamil theatre and cinema.”
Fans can pay their last respects to him at his home on Ammini Ammal Street in Mandaveli up to 9 a.m. Cremation will be performed at the Besant Nagar crematorium at 11.30 a.m.
