Data theft case: AP govt lodges complaint against Telangana govt
As Andhra Pradesh's ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) lodges a complaint against the Telangana government, the data theft case between the states has taken a new turn. As TRS made allegations on TDP that they are using their official app, Seva Mithra to get personal information of citizens, TDP has countered it with this complaint.
TDP leaders including TDP's Andhra Pradesh unit president Kala Venkat Rao, cabinet minister P Pulla Rao filed a complaint at the Guntur Rural Police Station on Wednesday. They have accused the TRS Government of stealing crucial information related to its party that was stored from two decades.
Jupudi Prabhakar alleged that TRS Government is playing mind games teaming up with YSR Congress Party. “One State Government acting against another in a federal system isn't a good sign. Even Jagan has admitted that they YSRCP has submitted Form-7 applications. It's a conspiracy," he complained.
When asked about the controversy around the Seva Mitra App, Jupudi replied that even TRS took the help of such Mobile App to collect voters data during the Telangana Assembly Polls. This dispute has also started a social media war between KTR and Lokesh who defended their respective states.
