Did ‘Sakshi’ delude people with false news regarding Viveka’s death?
YS Vivekananda Reddy’s death which started off as a natural one ended up with a heap of speculation around it. With elections falling by in a month, his mysterious death is raising the heat in state’s politics.
The former minister is found dead by his PA Krishna Reddy in his bathroom in a pool of blood at his residence in Pulivendula. Firstly he was believed to die of a heart attack but the injuries on his body raised contemplations that he was brutally murdered. The post mortem report too indicated that Viveka’s body had seven injuries out of which two were deep.
The state government has ordered for further investigation and has deployed a Special Investigation Team. Jagan, YSRCP President and nephew of Viveka said that he does not have trust in AP government and demanded CBI's investigation into it. “It is made clear that my family is being targeted. In his 35 years of experience in politics, my uncle is known for his good nature and social service. It is unfortunate that he fell prey to the political rivalries,” said Jagan in the press meet.
On the other hand, it was Sakshi, the news channel which is being run by the YS family that firstly reported the death of Viveka. They have disclosed that it was a natural death which was telecasted for about 3 hours. If the body is found in a pool of blood with injuries, why did the news channel telecast the wrong information? Is this to mislead the people?
