DMK leader MK Stalin asks the public for water issues to raise in assembly

As the drinking water problems grigging the state government with sleepless nights. The opposition DMK party is using the issue to its advantage. The party had declared state-wide protest since last Friday to focus the crisis.
“The water crisis was looming over the state for more than a year, with the failure of the monsoon. The DMK had sufficiently warmed the state government about such an impending crisis. But, neither the chief minister nor the deputy chief minister worried about it.” Stalin said talking the protest in Chennai. He and other DMK leaders were keeping plastic pots to highlight the issue.
Stalin imposed “Schools and private institutions are struggling to function due to lack of water. But the government is warning schools of punitive action if they declare a holiday. The water crisis is severe, and women have come to the roads demanding water. Even now, ministers and AIADMK leaders are conducting Yaagams in temples across the state, only to safeguard their powers and positions, and not to pray for rain, as they are making it out to be.”
“This government will be ousted without even the need for an election. once, DMK comes to power it will initiate action against all those involved in irregularities that delayed the setting up of the third desalination plant near Chennai.” Stalin expressed.
“DMK was visionary in 2004 to plan two desalination plants, which have actually saved the day for the people of Chennai now. If AIADMK too had done its part in the last eight years, we wouldn’t have to face such a crisis,” DMK Central Chennai LS MP Dayanidhi Maran said. “The government has miserably failed and has been in denial mode. It is a burning issue and we had to highlight it. For our part, the newly- elected DMK MPs as well as the MLAs have organized water tankers and are supplying free water to the people, at our cost, in our respective constituencies for over a month now. We have been a responsible opposition,” Maran said.
