DMK Stalin invites Mamata Banerjee to unveil Karunanidhi Statue on the first death anniversary
 
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was present DMK’s scheme of things, while DMK present MK Stalin’s invitation for, Banerjee will unveil Karunanidhi’s statue at the Murasoil office in Chennai and also the death anniversary of party patriarch’s.
 
Including DMK parliamentary party leader T R Baalu had carried Stalin’s invitation to Banerjee and she agreed to attend the event.
 
DDMK leader said, “It all started when Banerjee rushed to Chennai and paid homage to Karunanidhi at midnight at his Gopalapuram residence a year ago”, he said.
 
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has tweeted that “Today India lost one of its greatest sons. And Tamil Nadu lost its father figure. Farewell @Kalaignar89. My deepest condolences to the people of Tamil Nadu, DMK and family. India mourns your loss,” she stated.
 
DMK leader said, “She is single-handedly taking on the BJP in her state while in Tamil Nadu it is DMK which is in the forefront opposing BJP and its leaders”, he said.
