Exclusive: To which extent would KCR’s 'federal' front Succeed?
Does anyone ever give a thought about the Prime Minister from Southern India? Well, KCR is in the thought of such an out-of-box idea with his proposal of the federal front before the regional parties. It seems like KCR do not want a Prime minister from North India and he even proposes a PM Candidate from South India and it is none other than Pinarayi Vijayan, the Kerala CM.
During his meet with Pinaray Vijayan on Monday, KCR himself put forth this idea to Kerala Cm and expressed his desire of seeing a South Indian Prime Minister. Both Vijayan and KCR believe that the regional parties would play a prominent role in the national politics in the post polling. The CPM leader has assured to place the proposal before his national leadership.
But, there are numerous challenges before the KCR to beat all the odds and attract all the regional parties in his favour keeping Rahul and Modi aside. Besides that, KCR didn't achieve much success in his other endeavours. DMK honcho Stalin was lukewarm to the idea. He could meet Stalin on May 13, but there is no clarity about the meet from the DMK sources.
Stalin is currently busy in campaigning for the remaining phases of elections in Tamilnadu and this indicates that he won’t have time to meet and discuss with KCR. Even the other parties are showing interest when KCR gets them and once KCR leaves, things don’t seem to move forward much. KCR will soon meet Mamta Banerjee, Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav. All these three leaders are in a blow-hot-blow-cold mode with the Congress and one is not sure what their stand would be.
