Farmers put on road-block protest on Bengaluru-Mysuru highway condemning the Mysuru police for arresting a Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) leader on the charge of ‘misbehaving with a woman constable’.
The Bettadapura police, of Periyapatna taluk, arrested KRRS vie-president Lokesh Raje Urs lately when he had gone to a police station to ask about a complaint registered by a woman. An argument has stated between Mr. Urs and the woman constable at the station. Later, the police arrested the KRRS leader by registering a false case, the agitators expressed.
They have blocked the traffic on the highway for some time and urged action against the police for arresting Mr. Urs under the wrong charges.
The protester said that they would raise their agitation if they don’t take any action against the person who arrested Mr. Urs.
