Finally! 30 Telugu students detained in US reach Hyderabad

We had earlier reported that over 150 Telugu students were detained in the US for violating American laws and staying in the country after their visa expired. Now, 30 students have reached Hyderabad in the wee hours of Monday where they were welcomed by their parents.

The Ministry of External Affairs along with Telugu associations in the US are working together in bringing back the detained students to India. Many Telugu associations have approached immigration lawyers to present the case of the students.

Also, Indian authorities should appeal to the US embassy to send back the students to India if their F1 visas have expired. This particular case shows that students are desperately trying hard to pursue their dream even if it means violating the laws.

It was a sting operation by US officials to catch hold of these students. They had floated a fake University of Farmington and announced that they’ll provide visas.

When many students applied for it, the US officials caught held of them and detained them in the country. Now, the Indian government and embassy are trying hard to bring the remaining students back to India.
