Goa Chief Minister passed away after a long illness!
The chief minister of Goa, Manohar Parikkar is no more. He was the former defense minister died due to the chronic pancreatic ailment. He was 63 and was died in his son’s residence today. His death is a major loss to Bharatiya Janata Party in Goa. Parikkar, a tall leader of BJP, was one of the few personalities who proposed Narendra Modi's candidature for Prime Minister.
The announcement made by President Ram Nath Kovind and many leaders across the country poured their condolences for this late leader. "Extremely sorry to hear of the passing of Shri Manohar Parrikar, Chief Minister of Goa, after an illness borne with fortitude and dignity. An epitome of integrity and dedication in public life, his service to the people of Goa and of India will not be forgotten," President Kovind tweeted.
This fourth-time chief minister had said that he would serve the state "until his last breath." He had been to New York and was admitted in Goa Medical College and Hospital near Panaji but his condition worsened today after fluctuating for several days.
