Gorantla Madhav’s MP nomination rejected
CI Gorantla Madhav, the name that hit the headline after challenging JC Diwakar Reddy upon the Prabodhananda Swami Ashram controversy a few months ago has again been heard with his voluntary retirement to kickstart his political career.
This former Police Officer has applied for voluntary retirement and has joined the YSR Congress Party. He also managed to get an MP ticket for Anantapur Lok Sabha Constituency. Abuzz is that the party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy is also quite confident about the candidate.
However, seems like the ruling party wants to play a little game around his nomination in Anantapur Constituency. The news is that the government is yet to approve the voluntary retirement submitted by Gorantla Madhav two months ago. It is known fact that he couldn’t contest in the elections unless until his application gets approved before the nomination process ends. Speculations are around that Election Commission might reject the nomination referring to some technical issues.
Anyhow, the Voluntary Retirement Application will be approved default after 3 months of time. March 25th is the last date to file the nomination before which the three month period of his application won't be completed. On this note, YCP Gorantla accused IG of harassing him by not approving voluntary retirement based on casteism.
Gorantla Madhav is seeking the legal opinion to plan his next move to face the strategical move from the ruling party.
