High Court issues notice to KCR for manipulating Election Commission
Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao a.k.a KCR was served with notices from High Court for manipulating the Election Commission with fraudulent data. KCR who recently took charge as the CM for the second time in a row has stated in the election affidavit that there are only four criminal cases against him.
However, the petitioner claimed that KCR had 64 criminal cases against him but has disclosed wrong information in the affidavit. He has also requested the HC to take necessary actions on KCR. The High court accepted the petition serving notices to KCR and 14 election commission officials. The responder usually has to react within four weeks and will have to face dire consequences if he fails.
Most of the 64 cases booked on KCR are during the Telangana state agitations and few of them are stricken off after the bifurcation. And now the political fraternities in the Telugu states are waiting as of how KCR and his cadre would react to the notices.
