IPL 2019: Mumbai clinched victory against RCB in a nail biter!
In the 7th match of the Vivo IPL 2019, the two powerhouses Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers of Bangalore’s locked horns in Chinna Swamy stadium. The hosts fell at the edge of victory chasing 188 in this small ground. Parthiv Patel batted extremely good after his fault of making Moeen Ali run-out.
Later King Kohli and AB Devilliers stiched the innings with a good partnership until Bumrah got rid of the skipper with a bouncer. Kohli fell short of his half-century scoring 46 off 32 balls. Devilliers later fought lonely as Hetmyer and Colin Grandhomme fell cheaply.
Bumrah bowled exceptionally well giving just 6 runs in his final two overs. It was up to Malinga to defend 17 runs in the final over. Even after hit for a six off the very first ball he managed to hold his nerve and prevented the hosts to score any boundary in his later deliveries.
In the first innings, Mumbai openers, Rohit and de Kock gave them a flier in the start which was continued by Yuvaraj and Suryakumar Yadav. Especially Yuvaraj nailed hat-trick sixes for Chahal before getting out for the very next ball.
Hardik Pandya’s muscular 32 off 14 which included 3 maximums of which one went out of the park helped Mumbai to reach a par score in Chinna Swamy. Jasprit Bumrah was awarded the Man of the Match for his 3/20 in 4 overs.
