Is YSRCP deliberately targeting AP Police?
Andhra Pradesh is taking into a number of controversies amidst the assembly elections. It is also observed that many of the law enforcement agencies including Election Commission are falling prey to winning thirst of the leading parties. It is evident that both TDP and YSRCP are playing a blame game making use of government organizations, turning every small incident into a controversy.
Andhra Pradesh Police Department is one such organization which is unnecessarily being portrayed as the culprit. Over the past few months, the YSR Congress Party has been trying hard to depict an image of AP Police being in the grip of the TDP and acting in its favor. Be it the suspicious murder case of YS Vivekananda Reddy or the abrupt transfers of IPS officers, YSRCP officials are making sure that AP police were defamed.
As SIT team was already deployed to investigate Viveka’s case, YS Jagan and his associates are being accused of interpreting the clues and of manipulating the witnesses. The recent transfer of three IPS officers upon the complaint of YSR Congress MP Vijay Sai Reddy has also raised speculations that the party is trying to politicize the death of Viveka.
In all the instances, YSRCP kept alleging that AP Police is shadowing the TDP and the chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. Though the ruling party rubbished the allegations made, it is said to be facing the consequences along with AP Police. But somewhere around, YSRCP is missing the point that government organizations and their officials are the prime vote bank and would support the party in case they come into the ruling.
