Space agency ISRO launched the electronic intelligence satellite EMISAT along with 28 nanosatellites of global customers from Sriharikota. With this, India seeks to give birth to a new surveillance satellite with a special mission of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV C-45).
This is the 71st launch vehicle mission for Sriharikota. This low-Earth orbit satellite that weighs 436 kg, sources say, will monitor and give locations for enemy radar sites deep in their territory. ISRO invited common people to view the launch for the first time.
Based on Indian Mini Satellite -2 bus platform.
Intended for electromagnetic spectrum measurement.
