The High Court will hear the petition filed by actor Mohanlal in the ivory possession case today. The actor approached the High Court against the Perumbavoor court's rejection of the government's plea to withdraw the case. Mohanlal's demand in the petition is to quash the order of the Perumbavoor Magistrate Court.
According to the petition, the Perumbavoor Magistrate Court did not examine the facts and the legal aspect. Mohanlal's plea also states that the government has applied to withdraw the case because there is no evidence against him. Ivory was seized from Mohanlal's house in 2012. The income tax department found four ivory tusks from Mohanlal's house. Krishnakumar, who handed over the ivory to Mohanlal, has also approached the High Court seeking cancellation of the order of the Magistrate Court.
Meanwhile, news of Mohanlal's first directorial film, Barroz, has also come out. The film "Barroz" has been gaining attention since the time of its announcement. The latest information is that the show will be available in 15 to 20 languages. Reports are coming out that it will be dubbed and subtitled in 15 to 20 languages, including Portuguese and Chinese. Gone are the days when movies were only OTT. Mohanlal said that this is how Ashirvad's 3D film Barroz is going to be released. Mohanlal was speaking to the media after inaugurating the Dubai office of Aashirwad Cinemas. Aashirwad Cinemas has produced 32 films so far. Mohanlal also said that the fact that he acted in all these films increases the intensity of the relationship between him, and Antony.
Barroz is a film announced in April 2019. The official launch of the film was on March 24, last year. Mohanlal had said on the stage of Bigg Boss season 4 that Barroz would be presented on an international platform. Mohanlal said, "Barroz is a 3D film. We are going to present the film on an international platform. I may be lucky enough to do so. We need your prayers for it. Barroz will be an unusual film. It tells the story of a 400-year-old ghost.
