Jagan stands with RGV
Yet again, the controversial filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma broke the Internet loose with his videos at the Gannavaram airport where he was held under custody by the authorities. As per the media reports, AP Police officials did not allow filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma to hold a press meet in Vijayawada regarding his film Lakshmi's NTR on Sunday. The movie has hit theatres on March 29 worldwide, except for Andhra Pradesh which was slated for release on 1st May.
On this note, the director and the unit have planned for a press meet at the NTR circle upon which RGV has invited media, fans and followers to gather at the venue. However, the director and the movie unit were detained at Gannavaram airport, they were sent back to Hyderabad forcefully to avoid uninvited situations.
Within hours after this took place, RGV gathered the support of YSRCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy, who condemned the incident stating that such incidents are a blot on democracy which is deplorable. He even took to his official Twitter account to question the governance of Chandrababu Naidu. "Our democracy is in such a situation that we cannot hold a press meet in Vijayawada. Our policemen are being used as a pawn in this democracy. Chandrababu Garu, what wrong did Ram Gopal Varma do?"
With this, comments started pouring out as of why Jagan is so concerned about a director and his release like never before.
