Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy laid the foundation stone for the steel plant in Kadapa district's Jammalamadugu Mandal on Monday. AP CM YS Jagan said December 23rd will be an unforgettable day in his life since he is taking steps to fulfill a long-lasting dream of the Rayalaseema region. He said that the project estimated to cost around Rs 15,000 crores.
Taking pot-shots at Naidu for the delay in the project, Jagan said, "A man came and broke a coconut in the last six months of his regime while doing nothing in the rest four and half years. This is cheating. On the other hand, we came here in less than six months after coming into power, to break coconut that shows our commitment."
Adding, "I'm here in six months after becoming CM and launched the project. This is the difference between me and Chandrababu. The TDP chief has the habit of deceiving the people whereas I have the credibility of keeping my words. People should take note of this."
The plant is set to established on and around 3,295 acres of land and the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) will supply the required iron ore. Jagan said that they have acquired all the permissions to provide water, material for the steel plant and they want to complete the project in the next three years and thanked union minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel. 27000 people estimated to employed in this steel plant.
