The state government appointed Dr. Sudhakar, Chikkaballapur Congress MLA, as the new chairman of the State Pollution Control board. The main reason for this change is because of Sudhakar warned to resign the Congress and join with the BJP.
Previously, AIC Karnataka in-charge K C Venugopal had sought CM H D Kumaraswamy to assign Sudhakar as a Pollution Control board Chief. Although, CM assigned C Jayaram, a retired IFS official alternatively.
Now, Sudhakar has been assigned as a Board's Chief according to place a conclusion to the rebel activities. C Jayaram quit on Thursday noon and Sudhakar took charge in the evening as per the guidance of the CM HDK.
