JD Lakshmi Narayana reveals the reasons to join Janasena
Former CBI Joint Director VV Lakshminarayana has finally decided to end the speculations around his future in politics. He met Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan on Saturday followed by an announcement that he joined the party. On Sunday, Pawan officially welcomed into the party’s fold.
Talking to media he explained the reasons why he chose to join Jana Sena. “Certain people are recognized by their knowledge and wisdom, whereas few will have a lot of bravery enough to fight the odds. And then some people impress with their charisma. I saw all of the above in Pawan Kalyan. He is perfect for a Chief Minister and I am glad about my decision to become a Janasainik,” said Lakshminarayana.
Lakshminarayana took voluntary retirement from the Indian Police Service (IPS) in April 2018 after playing a vital role in probing a number of high-profile investigation in an honest manner. Disproportionate assets case of YS Jagan and Satyam Ramalinga Raju’s scam are two of the well know investigation he has taken. Apart from these, Lakshminarayana has also handled the Obulapuram mining case, in which the Ballari Reddy brothers were accused.
JD said that the manifesto released by Pawan Kalyan is quite impressive which stunned him as he came through it. “No other political party in the world has come up with such citizen-centric manifesto. After looking into the scenarios in the state, I've decided to join hands with Pawan and ensure that Janasena will be voted to power", said JD.
Lakshminarayana also praised Pawan Kalyan for his genuine efforts to create change in the state. However, the constituency from which JD would contest is yet to be confirmed.
