JD(S) could provide outside support to Congress government
 
By the Resignation of 16 MLAs, the JD(S) begun exploring to save the government and prevent the BJP from assuming power. Discussion among the JDS. Chief HD Deve Gowda and CM HD Kumaraswamy.
 
The sources said if Kumaraswamy is quitting and the party extending outside support to the Congress on the condition that they would select the new CM. The sources believe, they will also allow the Congress to admit rebels into the Cabinet and avoid desertion.
 
Gowda was keen on replacing Kumaraswamy with M Mallikarjun Kharge and take credit for the appointment of the first Dalit CM in Karnataka. The sources said, “So the party is now weighing the option of extending outside support.”
 
Senior Congress leaders have told JD(S) leaders that the separation should be finalized only after all other options are explored. It depends on the verdict of the Supreme Court on the petition filed by the 11 rebel MLAs.
 
JD(S) leaders are accusing the Congress politics. They claim their coalition partner prepared to scrap the alliance soon after the LS polls defeat. The party is rejecting to salvage the crisis and shift blame to the BJP, which is desperate to grab power.
