KA Paul’s strategical move to split YSRCP votes
Popular evangelist KA Paul who forayed into active politics with his Praja Shanti Party has seen a decline in his career and YS Rajasekhar Reddy is speculated to be the reason behind this. The late CM is said to have done this on a deliberate note to encourage his son-in-law Brother Anil after which Paul is waiting for a right time to avenge YS family.
And the time has come with the assembly elections of which Paul is making complete use. In what is said to be a clever strategy, KA Paul has fielded his candidates with similar names against YCP's candidates in 35 constituencies. The scenario came into the limelight a couple of days ago that the names of Praja Shanti Party's candidates are so close to YCP's candidates and in some places, even the surname is same. This came to a major shock to YSRCP as the chances are high that it can confuse the balloter.
On the other hand, the election symbol of the Praja Shanti Party i.e, Helicopter is also similar to that of YSRCP’s fan. This game plan from Paul’s end is to manipulate the illiterate voters who cast their votes on the basis of the symbol. This has sent a message to the political circles that this is a move just to split the votes but not to bring victory to Paul and his party.
