The Kacheguda Express has been extended to Mysore. It was a long pending demand of the people of Mysore and Hyderabad. Once it is operating on a weekly and biweekly basis, it will be the 33rd train from Mysore to Bengaluru. This is more than 10 years long demand, at last, has been fulfilled with the intervention of Member of Parliament Pratap Simha. Though the extension is approved by the railway authorities it will be functional only after some time. Speaking to Media, Pratap Simha said, “The demand that was pending for almost 15 years has now become a reality.
I will try my level best to make it operational by the end of this month.” Mohammed Imran Azeez, Mysorean who works in an IT company in Hyderabad was elated after coming to know about the extension of Kacheguda Express to Mysuru. He said, “Though we have a connecting train from Mysore to catch Kacheguda Express in Bengaluru, it was very difficult, particularly for the aged people, women, and children as they were forced to carry luggage to other platforms. Now with the extension of this train to Mysore all of them are relieved. Apart from this it also cuts down the cost of travel. If we want to go to Kacheguda on a luxury bus we need to pay nearly Rs 1500 but by train, it will be not more than Rs 500.”. Once it is operational, it will depart Ashokapuram railway station at 2.05 PM and reach the Mysore railway station at 2.20 PM. After nearly 25 minutes stoppage at the Mysore railway station, it will depart to Bengaluru at 2.45 PM and reach Bengaluru at 5.45 PM. Later, it will depart to Kachiguda at 6.20 PM and reach Kacheguda at 5.40 AM. The train will depart Kachiguda at 7.05 PM and reach Bengaluru at 6.25 AM and depart Bengaluru at 6.40 AM and reach Mysore at 9.40 AM before departing for Ashokapuram at 9.50 AM and reaching here at 10.05 AM.
