Kamal Haasan to stay aloof from the assembly and Lok Sabha elections
Universal hero and Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) leader Kamal Haasan has made an announcement on Sunday that he would not be contesting both Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Tamilnadu. He also stated that he would campaign for the candidates and will work for the welfare of the party.
"I have come to this decision as I felt that I am juggling with a lot of things simultaneously. Time has come that I focus on things that are important upon which I have decided not to contest and campaign extensively for MNM candidates all over Tamil Nadu," said Kamal. He also said that he would not tolerate the Delhi politics in Tamilnadu and will not allow that party to win in his state.
In the wake of his recent controversial comments on Rajinikanth for not contesting the polls, Rajini’s fans and political circles turned all skeptical about the same decision which he once criticized.
