Karnataka cabinet expansion: CM BSY has inducted 17 Ministers in his Cabinet
After 25 days, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has to form the new government. He previously announced the in the first phase of expansion he inducts the 17 Ministers into his Cabinet.
While the final list is Murugesh Nirani, Umesh Katti, Balachandra Jarkiholi, MP Renukacharya, SA Ravindranath, SA Ramadas, Gulihatti Shekar, S Angara, GH Thippareddy, Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, Haladi Srinivasa Shetty, KG Bopaiah, Appachu Ranjan and CP Yogeshwar.
While six-time MLA from Chitradurga Thippareddy said: “Obviously many of us are disappointed as decades of service have not been recognised.” He also said, “Likeminded MLAs will meet in Bengaluru and chalk out a plan on how to convince the party high command and the chief minister.”
MP Renukachraya said, “Jarkiholi and I met for lunch as we are friends. There is no disgruntled or rebellion. I will support Yediyurappa like Ram Bhakt Hanuman,” he said.
Shekar expressed his feeling about joining the BJP, he said “I think I made a mistake by joining the BJP,” he said. “I feel nobody cares about these values, but I will continue to be party loyalist.”
L Vasudevamurthy said “I understand the CM cannot accommodate all MLAs in his Cabinet, but he could have balanced the regions by giving equal representation,” he said.
