Kodela locks himself in booth: Beaten up by the YSRCP activists

Kodela Sivaprasad, Andhra Pradesh assembly speaker and TDP candidate has been attacked by YSRCP workers on his visit to the polling booth in Sathenapalli. According to the eye witness, Kodela went inside the polling booth in Rajupalem Mandal, Inimetla village and has reportedly closed the doors.

This has irked the activists who are on-field who staged a protest outside the polling booth. This has led to a clash between the TDP and YSRCP workers with slogans against Kodela. Amidst the tensed situation in the village, YSRCP people have beaten up Kodela who tried to pacify the issue. The leader fell down unconscious and was later shifted to hospital.

While the TDP workers claimed that their leader is examining the polling process, YSRCP workers even damaged Kodela's car. The election officials have stopped the polling and stated that they would resume once police provide them additional security.
