Kohli to skip press meet amid rumours of rift with Rohit
Post World Cup debacle, there were questions whether there were two groups in the team India being led by the captain and vice-captain. Other day the anticipations grew much stronger as Rohit Sharma unfollowed Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma on Instagram. Now here is another one to provide all the rumours of a rift between Kohli and Rohit Sharma a strong base.
India captain Virat Kohli has decided against holding a customary press conference before leaving for the tour of West Indies amid the rumours of rift between him and Rohit Sharma, as per reports, Virat Kohli reportedly will attend a promotional event on Monday morning before boarding the flight later in the day but will not take any questions regarding the West Indies tour.
The Indian side is supposed to leave for the US on Monday, where they will play two T20Is before travelling to the West Indies for the final T20I, three ODIs, and two Test matches. The members of the Test side, barring those who are already in West Indies with India A-team will travel later.
Multiple media reports about a rift between him and Rohit started doing the rounds ever since the Men in Blue returned home after their semi-final exit from World Cup 2019 and there were many anticipations about Kohli’s press conference but he probably ruined a field day for the enthusiastic reporters.
