LKG and UKG classes to begin in Anganwadis from June 3
LKG and UKG classes are set to begin in the Anganwadi schools across the state from June 3. Initially, the state government had proposed to start the schools in December 2018 itself but they placed a Montessori-based system.
A senior officer from the Department of Elementary Education says that the student who is enlisted into the Anganwadis will be joined into the LKG and UKG Classes based on their age.
“The schools have been instructed to put up information boards prominently on their campuses announcing that admissions are open so that more children can enroll. As a pilot project, the classes will begin in 2,381 Anganwadis across the State and cover 52,933 children,” he added.
The officials of the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) have also put their hand forward for enrolment drives for the same.
