MDMK leader Vaiko sought PM to resolve Tamil Nadu people issues
MDMK chief Mr Vaiko Wass sought his intervention to PM Narendra Modi for Tamil Nadu was facing various problems, due to he was requested to solve them. He wrote a letter to PM for a proposal of Cauvery at Mekedatu in Karnataka a 'serious threat' to Famers of the Cauvery delta in Tamil Nadu.
Vaiko said, “We, Tamils, are shocked that the Union government is understood to have given the green signal by delivering environmental clearance for the proposed dam, which is nothing but a betrayal of Tamil Nadu,” he said. Vaiko also wrote in his letter “Over 35 lakh acres of paddy cultivation will be ruined,” and granted the license to Vedanta Group.
Vaiko said, the Dam Safety bill will also seriously affected Tamil Nadu people, he proposed the establishment of India-based Neutrino Observatory (INO) in Theni district. Vaiko said, “affect cotton farmers, weavers, spinners and garment manufacturing processes.”
Mr.Vaiko sought the PM to implement action on Tamil Nadu people for the various issues, and also an imposition of rules of origin and yarn-and fabric-forward rule, among others, to protect domestic industries.
