Mehbooba Mufti’s daughter targets Amit Shah: Caged like Animals
The daughter of former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti published a 2nd voice message stating she was arrested at home days after her mother was detained. Iltija Javed also went on to write to Home Minister Amit Shah that if she talks to the press again, she was "harmed with terrible implications." Kashmiris were stripped of fundamental human rights and caged like livestock.
The top popular political rulers stay under detention as the lockdown in the Kashmir Valley reaches its twelfth day. Among those detained are two former chief ministers-Ms Mufti and Omar Abdullah.
She also wrote to Amit Shah in the letter that while India's Independence Day is being celebrated today by the remainder of the nation, Kashmiris were caught like livestock and stripped of fundamental human rights.
She said that when viewers are taken away from the door, she was not notified and that she was not permitted to leave her house. She also said that safety staff quoted her press interviews as the cause for her imprisonment in her letter to the Home Minister seeking clarification for her supposed arrest.
She also said that no person has the right to talk out in the presence of inconceivable violence for the biggest democracy in the world.
She published the speech note as nearly all communication lines with Kashmir were severed by the government to avoid a reaction of its choices-ending the privileged status of Jammu and Kashmir and dividing it into two union territories.
