Minister Rahim Mahmood Khan to resign Congress, join BJP camp
State youth empowerment and sports Minister Rahim Mahmood Khan, who elected by the Bidar north Assembly constituency, is ready to resign the Congress party. He probably to join the BJP.
Khan declared that he is regarding the proposal of resigning. “I am not getting any money for any department. No fund has been released even for the constituency. I will take a decision on my resignation after a discussion with Shivajinagar MLAs Roshan Baig,” he said.
“The RSS will not give any respect to these leaders. Khan is facing a lot of opposition in his constituency from the BJP, which is known for its anti- Muslim stand in the Karnataka. The first thing they will do on gaining power is cancelling the Tipu Jayanti celebrations and moving an anti-cow slaughter bill,” a senior Congress leader said.
As per the sources, Bhavani Revanna, wife of PWD Minister H D Revanna is pressurizing JD(S) chief H D Deve Gowda to vacant the CM’s post to the Congress and make her husband H D Revanna the DCM. “ if Sidaaramaiah becomes the CM, all the problems will get resolved. Sensing Bhavani’s pressure, now CM H D Kumaraswamy’s supporters are planning a different strategy,” a JDS leader said.
