MLA Ramalinga Reddy says 'no comments on state politics until July 15'
Rebel MLA and Veteran Congress leader Ramalinga Reddy declared that he would not speak a word on State politics until the State Legislative Assembly’s monsoon meeting starts on July 15.
He said, “I will be meeting the Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker Ramesh Kumar on July 15 as he has called me for a meeting. Until and. Unless I meet and discuss with him, I want to avoid commenting on any political development in the State.” He also said “let me be very clear that I have not influenced the minds of many Congress leaders in order to submit their resignations. I request everybody to kindly not derive any conclusion and look at the BJP leaders meeting me at my residence in a different perspective.”
Ramalinga Reddy said, “I am not aware which leader went and met whom, as leaders across all party lines come to meet me.” He said his disgruntled over the Congress-JD(S) way the state coalition government had dealt with him and sidelined the senior leaders in the Congress party. After he gave his resignation to Speaker and said he would stay in the party but would not continue as a legislator.
