‘MLC results are fitting reply to KCR’s arrogance’: Jeevan Reddy
While TRS is busily introspecting the reasons behind their first defeat ever since Telangana was declared, Jeevan Reddy is celebrating his triumph over the ruling TRS supported candidate. Former minister Jeevan Reddy who recently tasted defeat in state assembly polls from Jagityal constituency turned victorious in the MLC elections.
Jeevan won with a majority of 39,430 votes from the Karimnagar-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Medak Graduates constituency which is said to be the stronghold of TRS party. TRS-backed candidate M Chandrasekhar Goud secured third place. 'These election results are a tight slap for TRS especially to KCR who turned arrogant with his victories. I promise that I will raise the voice against the anti-public decision in the Legislative Council,” noted Jeevan post his win.
A few of the political analyst opined that this would be the beginning of TRS downfall. This defeat right before Lok Sabha elections came as a thunderbolt to the TRS party cadre which shook their morals.
