After two weeks the rain has reached the Kerala coast and after that, it touched the Karnataka, the monsoon reached the total state including Bangalore. As per weather reports heavy showers over the next few days in ay regions.
KSNDMC (Karnataka State Natural Disaster Management Centre scientist SSM Gavaskar said that heavy rainfall warning has been issued to Bagalkot, Bidar, Kalaburgi, Raichur and Yadgir districts in north interior Karnataka. “We have been analyzing the advance of monsoon every year. Such a long delay for the monsoon to envelop the state hadn’t been experienced in recent years”. He said.
The Meteorological departments say generally the weather with light rain is likely for Bangalore. “Surface winds are likely to be strong and gusty at times. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 31DC to 21DC respectively.
Heavy monsoon was recorded in Karnataka coastal areas and isolated places in interior Karnataka. Major rainfall records were reported in Uttara Kannada, Belagavi, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi.
