With no women in its cabinet, the Telangana government stated welcoming criticism which is also bothering the TRS Leaders & Workers in every press interaction. Since 2014, though the lack of representation for Women in the State Cabinet is suffocating the State’s government, KCR, however, chose not to have at least a single Woman Member in his cabinet till date.
Nizamabad MP Kavitha also came across the same question in the recent summit, she admitted that even she is unable to influence her father’s mindset. “It is true that we could even place a single woman in the cabinet in spite of having four TRS Women MLAs. I bet even the parties who were making a fuzz about doing justice to the women are also not doing their part properly. '
She also opined that there is no proper representation for women anywhere in our country, be it a political party or a small organization. Being a junior member of the party, I can't influence someone with over 30 years of political experience,' she admits.
Applauded for speaking her mind out at any circumstances, Kavitha shocked the media with the recent comment on her father who is also the Chief Minister of the State. In one of her previous interviews, Kavitha also said that she has the same freedom in the presence of her father also.
However, the gutsy politician accepted that daughter-father connects also haven’t helped to bring the women Representation in TRS Cabinet.
