Sumalatha Ambareesh, who was newly elected MP for Mandya, said that she won’t join the BJP. She declared her decision after a meeting with BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa and Ex-CM S M Krishna.
Talking to the media, she said that the people selected her as an independent candidate. 'I can become just a co-member of the BJP I am not interested in it'.
she said that 'Activists and supporters of all the parties, including the Congress, supported me so I will take a decision only after consulting my voters'.
Latterly, it was guessed that Sumalatha will merge with BJP and become a minister in the Central government formed by PM Modi.
