Naidu using public Money for Elections?

After costing people’s of Rs 1.30cr for Dharma Porata Deeksha at Delhi, Naidu now has given smartphones to over 47,000 of its booth-level committee workers and also set-up a 500-member call center at Mangalagiri near Amaravati in Andhra Pradesh for better coordination and groundwork in all 175 constituencies all over the state.
Senior TDP leader said, “They have been given smartphones so that all of them can work together with data that is being disseminated through in-house mobile apps which contain details down to a voter’s caste.”
Smartphones has been purchased at a cost of Rs 6,250 at a wholesale price mentioned by the TDP leader. All the details and information will be sent to the sitting MLA’s or to the in-charge of the assembly constituencies through those smartphones from that arranged call center. This booth-level work has been operating from the last one month.
Political analyst Palwai Raghavendra said, “TDP had used technology in 2014 elections too but without a pro wave, TDP cannot stand in 2019 elections using technology.”
