Senior IAS officer L V Subrahmanyam who was appointed as the chief secretary of Andhra Pradesh government until the election process is completed has taken his charge lately replacing Anil Kumar Punetha. Not many days after taking charge, the firebrand officer started breathing fire on all the government departments regarding the glitches in monetary transactions done in the last few weeks.
Back when the Election Commission has announced Subrahmanyam as the chief secretary, APCM Chandrababu Naidu has objected the posting saying that the senior bureaucrat is an underhand favouring YSR Congress party and its chief. The inside talk is that Subrahmanyam was hurt with the accusations made by Chandrababu yet has chosen to remain mum. It seems like Subrahmanyam who was already offended is targeting Chandrababu’s government being a tough nut to crack.
Subrahmanyam is said to decline CM’s invitations to attend the meetings and above all, has ordered an inquiry into the allegations of irregularities in the transport of gold belonging to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) from Chennai to Tirupati. He has also ordered all the other departments, including panchayat raj, municipal administration, energy etc, to furnish the details of their monetary transactions.
