Repeated criticism from the Telangana High Court has prompted the state government to reveal necessary information about the COVID-19 situation starting with the list of 1000 COVID containment zones across the state. Mahbubnagar district is at the top of this list with 192 zones followed by Rangareddy (164 containment zones).
57,142 is the total case count of Telangana state out of which 13,753 are active cases. According to the Covid19 bulletin of Telangana, 1,610 new cases and 9 fatalities were recorded in the last 24 hours.
Further looking at the details from the bulletin, it is revealed that 15,839 samples were tested on July 27 and a total of 3.79 lakh people were tested so far in the state. To ramp up the COVID testing efforts Telangana health department has set up 320 rapid antigen testing centres, and sufficient availability of beds at government hospitals is being ensured.
With the kind of efforts being put forward by Telangana Govt, COVID recovery rate is at 75.1% as over 42,000 people have recovered and 480 people succumbed to the coronavirus.
