Over four crore Andhraites ready to cast their vote tomorrow
The day has come! Years of anticipations, months of campaigning and promises for the next 5 years, altogether 2019 elections has heated up the State politics. And now, people of Andhra Pradesh who are residing in various parts of India are on their way to their native places to cast their valuable votes. As most people reside in Hyderabad, the city has already turned empty with all the bus and railway stations crowded up.
As most of the people preferred to reach their places by own vehicles, all the toll plazas towards Andhra and Rayalaseema are flooded with vehicles. Pathangi toll plaza near Choutuppal witnessed traffic blocked for almost two kilometers. Though the scenario is an expected one, the toll plazas on the main highways failed to take adequate measures in deploying additional staff and extra counters.
According to the post-election reports in 2014, it was stated that nearly 3.68 crore people and the voting percentage has touched 76.80. With the increase in awarenesses and first-time voters, the percentage of voting is expected to reach the record numbers. On the other hand, Election commission is all set for the big day which would decide the fate of 175 assemblies and 25 Lok Sabha seats.
